About Fair

Fair transferred from Boston University School of Medicine to University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine in September of 2008. She is a 3rd year graduate student with the neuroscience graduate group. She received her B.A. from Boston University and an M.A. in Pharmacology from the BU School of Medicine.

Fair's thesis work is aimed at examining the effects of deep brain stimulation of various limbic nuclei on cocaine reinstatement. Specifically, she has been focusing on the glutamatergic projection from the prefrontal cortex to the nucleus accumbens. Recently, she has started a project using voltage sensitive dye imaging to examine the physiological changes associated with stimulation of these structures.

Fair is married and lives with her husband, Rodrigo, in Manayunk. Fair and Rodrigo enjoy kayaking, hiking, biking, and camping.
